Thank you Lord!

I got a phone call a few days ago saying that I have officially been offered a job in Invensys Rail, the job that I have been praying about with other fellow family and friends!

I definitely believe that this is where God is leading me to, career wise. Just for your info, all the previous jobs have been shut down completely. Looking back at what Shannon and me have been praying about for each job that I submitted my application, I believe that God has prepared this job specially for me!

I still remember the time when I checked my job status on the Invensys website. It stated "Interview to be arranged". I was so happy that day I still remember singing the song "Happy Day!" whole heartedly LOL! Somehow in my gut I knew something good was coming. I remember celebrating as though I already got the job.

One and a half month down the road, I got an email when I was visiting Shannon's parents in Malaysia ( on her dad's birthday ) after my mission trip in Philliphine, stating that an interview has been arranged for me. During my mission trip I was worried that the interview might be arranged during my time in the Philliphines. But my God arranged it in the way that somehow I managed to attend the interview in Auckland 2 days after I landed in Auckland. I was in fact the last interviewer and they have just waited for me before closing the selection. How awesome is that ! Another thing to add on top of the awesomeness is that I found out that my senior was working there too which added extra brownie points to the candidate selection. I was worried for my technical questions and somehow I found all of them relatively easy to answer. Somehow I believed that I found favour with the manager as it was so easy to relate to him and also he happened to live near me ! I mean, all these little things added up which possibly made me the more favorable candidate.

Tomorrow is my first day at work. I am excited as I believe that this job was prepared for me by God. I know that even though my visa to Melbourne has been rejected, and that I might not be able to be with Shannon for a year or more, I know that God is preparing me for something. He is preparing a way for me as I am allowing Him and trusting Him too. I am going to work my ass off for this job. I understand this job will take more than 8 hours of work some days and also require working weird hours such as middle of the nights ,weekends and public holidays too. But I am going to leave Sunday open no matter how busy it is. I am going to faithfully tithe the 10%. I am going to work to my best capability and make people and Him proud of me.

Shannon's visit update (2)

Took Shannon shopping at Slyvia Park.  Did a reasonable amount of shopping. What I like about her is that she shops fast and is decisive about the things she wants to buy. She likes my opinion but at the same time doesn't demand me to be always next to  her when she decides she if she should buy something. Love it! though she still thinks I've got bad dressing taste. so whatever....

Took Shannon to Piha beach down the west with life group friends. It was approximately an hour's drive down south west. She loves the beach! and always goes "awwww....doggy!!" when she sees any dog strolling pass her.Had some serious sun tan on my skin! After a few hours in the sun she was tired as and had to hid away from the sun because she was afraid of getting allergies from it. But it was a good day all in all.

Been watching movies and also a TV series I had persevered a few weeks before to watch with her during our free times.(phew that was one mouth full). I'll be taking her to have japanese/english fusion breakfast tomorrow after our jog to Northcote centre. Pey-li and friend who has got back from Rotorua for their road trip will be staying at our place until they leave back for Melbourne. I might take them too.

But all in all, I'm really bless...so bless to have Shannon around and also be able to experience what living with her would be =p . Obviously, you guessed right. There has been minor conflicts, fun times and very rarely tears but geez I think I'm so lucky to have someone like her in my life!

Shannon's visit update (1)

So 4 days has pass with Shannon in Auckland...

So far, it has just been pretty full on. Don't know why but a lot of the activities happen to occur only during this period when she's around. I think she came at the right period!

Some of the programs so far is dinner with my family at some good chinese restaurant, action paintball, rock band sessions at my home, Christmas eve dinner, New Year's eve gathering, New Year's day dinner at Ben's parent's place, having fun at the beach and normal church service.

Not to forget, Shannon's also cooked for us after mum and Jilian left for Malaysia. Not a bad good I say. Got potential ! LOL. Apparently, I think she's going to cook chicken rice day after tomorrow. Auntie Elaine's style. Looking forward to that!

Really happy to have her around. Will update soon the thing's we're up to.
