My heart is currently not in Auckland

It's been 2 years since I first met Shannon..

We have been separated all these while.
I feel that my heart is no more here in New Zealand.
The pass few weeks at work I wish I could just go over straight to Australia.

If only I could.....
If only I have my New Zealand passport now.
Why is it taking so long for my ceremony?

My current target is early May if possible.
( That's like 6 months away!)
For some reason I feel that I have no mood to work.
Maybe because it's so quiet at work.
It's only me and Chris around most of the time.
Sometimes it's only me at work...

My colleagues in Australia have a lot of company at work.
I guess at least I know what I want for my work in the future...
Good friends at work, better pay and also challenging tasks

My aim for the next few months is try to suck it up...
and also suck as much experience as I can in NZ.
I have achieved my CCNA certification which is part of my aim this year.
I have been assigned the New Zealand Communication Systems Drafter/Designer.

 So far so good....
this is what I need to achieve the remaining time I have in NZ.
1) Get my CompTIA Linux+ certification ( by March )
2) Get my assistant systems designer IRSE license. (by April )
3) Lead a team
4) Understand the Auckland Rail principle in depth. (by May)

If I achieved all these, I would consider myself successful in achieving the goals I have set for myself.

Miss you..
You missed out today.

101 reasons why I love my girl friend ( part 4 )

I love my girl friend because:

31) She doesn't take me for granted.
32) She sends me presents once a while to remind me that she always appreaciate me.
33) She is an amazing dancer.
34) She is determined to do what is set in her mind.
35) She loves dogs
36) Yet she is willing to not have dogs as our pets in the future because of our allegicness.
37) She swims in the evening so that she can be healthy & fit.
38) She is very forgiving of my mistake
39) She is very tolerant of my arrogance (sometimes).
40) She treats me as her man.

Wei Ren

We had our weekly bible study tonight at mcDonalds. Never ever will I choose mcDonalds for a place to have bible study. Too many distractions....

A few things really annoy me and I'm going to dump it here.

1) Why is it that some people have so much passion of going overseas to help the needy , but when it comes to learning God's word, they hardly do their homework or prepare? Really annoys me.

2) Distracted. I don't understand how easy it is to be distracted by little things like drawings, tones and all. Especially when we're discussing something valuable.

Anyway, tonight something was happening in one of our new bible studier, Wei Ren. He's a new to Christianity and have been quite open about it. He joins us for bible study and is good friend. But he has been jobless a while now, maybe since beginning of last year....I.e nearly 2 years. He thinks hard and ask some good questions.

However, tonight I can see he is starting to get really frustrated. Frustrated with a lot of things probably related to Christianity. He made statements such as" Maybe there isn't really a God", "I don't need you guys to pray anymore, it's been too long, getting tired", etc etc. It just seems that he's getting tired of God...and I feel sad.

I can't answer a lot of the good questions he asked. But I sometimes I wonder perhaps we haven't given him proper guidance that he's starting to be agitated. Or the answers we given him hasn't been helpful or may have been misleading. It would be a really sad/terrible thing if he left us.

I hope if you're reading this, join me in prayer for my friend Wei Ren. So that he may come and personally know God..

Our 2 Weeks Together

I wouldn't have imagined myself surviving a a long distance relationship for 15months. But I did... rather we did it! We would have to survive this long distance thing for a few more months before we'll be able to see each other on a more regular basis than what we are doing now. It's certainly not easy having to only be able to see someone you love once after 3 or 4 months. Nevertheless, I am still grateful that we get to meet... I have a friend of mine who has been away from her boyfriend for a year and a half now.. even seeing each other at all throughout the whole time. I really do wonder how they did it? How on earth does I bare the pain of waiting and yearning to hold someone you love for such a long time? My guess? Trust... LOADS of trust and independence. She's amazing.. their relationship is amazing. And I think our's is too.

I've definitely gotten to know Richard a lot more after this trip.. and I can say that I love him even more. His determination to not give up and perseverance of not running away when things turn bad are some of the qualities I admire.

We have yet determine the next time we will meet.. But I hope, it's soon... Even if it is not, we shall make it through. I am sure of that =)

I'm injured

I just got back from the hospital because I injured myself during a game of badminton.

What happened was that I was trying place myself in a weird position and eventually twisted my Knee...yes, that's right. My knee and not the usual ankle.

Heard a loud "crack" as I landed on my left knee. Before I realised what was going on, I was already on the ground moaning as people from other courts came rushing to see what had happened. A coach asked me to move my feet to see if it still control it. I could but my knee was swelling so bad that I could not even stand up properly by myself.

I went to the hospital nearby (thank God I had an automatic car as I would not have been able to change gear if I had manual one). The wait was long. After 1.5 hours of waiting I finally got my examination and found out it was just a big sprain. There were X ray's and basic checking. And because it was a weekend , guessed how much it cost?

$NZD 100 for a simple check.....Yuck

Even though this has happened, I don't think that I'll ever stop myself from playing badminton once I have recovered =p

A post after I return from Shannon's graduation in Melbourne

I arrived back from Melbourne last week and must say that I had a good two weeks enjoying my stay with Ai and her parents.(and auntie)

Just feel that it was such a great time to know her family more. Her dad's a good cook and navigator, her mum's a very nice person, auntie's a clean freak but generous. Spent time with Nick Ong and managed to get to know his family better too. Had around 4 meals a day ( I'm got a spare tire now!) and loved almost every dish I had at Glen Waverly.

Just wanna take this opportunity to thank Auntie Elaine, and Uncle Stephen for much that they have done for me!

One thing I will miss when I'm away from Melbourne is Biscuit. Biscuit is Nick's doggie. She seems to be one of the few dogs that doesn't make me allergic to her fur. Maybe there is hope that I can have a dog of my own in the future...

Also I wanna congratulate Shannon for FINALLY finishing her undergrad degree. It's been too long =p Now all you gotta study is another 3 more years aye ?

A post before I left for Shannon's graduation in Melbourne

So the day that I have patiently waiting has arrived..

I will be flying off at 6.30 am tonight to Melbourne. A few days earlier but I am already excited as I post this blog up.

Next 2 weeks I will be spending time with Shannon and her family. Finally, a chance to see Ai again and also get to know her parents better.

Suit case are all packed and room all cleaned up (man, i'm efficient!)

Tonight, England will be playing France in the Rugby world cup in the quarter finals. My childhood friend has just gone to watch it. Wanted to watch it but the tickets were just way too expensive ($NZD 250).

For the remaining time I left in Auckland tonight, I'm going to just study hard for the remaining syllabus for my CCNA. I hope I'm ready for it. don't really have much time left... After the trip, it's just 2 weeks before I have to sit for it. Help me God.

This week's update

It's been a long while again since I updated something..and there's bit that has happened last week.

Lets work backwards....

Today I finally applied for my citizenship. I am officially in the process of getting a 'license' to say that I am a kiwi, something that so many people in Malaysia have told me to beware off. I remembered 8 years ago before leaving Malaysia, my chinese pastor told me NEVER to give up my malaysia passport and be loyal to Malaysia. I guess I have rebel and disobeyed that instruction =p But my parents seem to be alright with it. So I guess I'm happy with that. Hopefully I'll get my passport soon. Because once I get it I'll start a new operation, called Job hunting operation in Melbourne.

Definitely looking forward to see Shannon next week, especially since it has been so many months since I felt her last hug at the airport. Really looking forward to it. I guess long distant relationship isn't something we humans were built for, and because of it I think there has been a couple of moments where we argued because of the lack of time spent with each other (online, that is). Firstly because I have just applied for an exam to sit 11th of Nov , my job and Shannon's new job, and her friends and family. I guess I shouldn't demand too much of her especially since it's been so long that she has been away from her family. Hence I admit that it was partially my fault for yesterday's tensioned conversation. But overall, I still really miss her dearly and hope that this long torture would someday end.

I have been spending time keeping myself busy and studying for my exam which I applied for. Cost me $300+ to apply for this certification exam, CCNA. But I'm proud of myself in a sense that I started off with no idea about IT networking, but at this stage I feel that I'm starting to have a good grasp of it and believe that it will serve me well one day. Thanks to my french workmate and friend, William who has encouraged me to give it a shot.

Mum's calling for dinner... Just when I started to get my momentum going. There's heaps for me to share here next time but I'll leave it for next time...

28 days till we meet!

It feels like ages since I last saw Richard. It feels a bit like YEARS! lol...

The next time we meet be at my graduation! Kinda excited about it cause it will be the first time BOTH my parents would be around to see my graduate. hehe....

Now all i'm hoping is that Richard's eave would be approved by his not so friendly boss who seems to favour his friend. I pray that he'll learn to appreciate Richard and learn to see that Richard too does work hard and contribute at work.

Till we meet......

I'm the luckiest guy on earth!

Was writing a letter to my Mued, my sponsored child today when I started thinking if I should start writing something to Shannon through snail mail.
"knock , knock, knock"
I turned around and saw my sister holding a parcel saying "special delivery for lover boy"

I took the parcel and secretly grinned within upon recognizing that familiar not-so-nice handwriting.
I open the parcel and was really touch to see what was inside...

It was a box of cards....

each card written by a really special friend to encourage me and express her feelings for me.

I have to say ....

I love it very much!

I will treasure this very much and for a long long time.
Thank you once again :)
My very first box of cards!

I feel like the luckiest guy on earth

ps: now I understand why you haven't been writing post up on our blog. it's all here. *touched*

NZ citizenship

Just a few minutes ago, I was filling up my form my application for New Zealand citizenship...
It is quite a big step and I'm quite excited about it.
At the same time I am also nervous...
nervous that if this will work out...
What if it doesn't ?

Going over to Australia is probably the very last card I have left to be with Shannon.
I really do not want to go to Malaysia if all else fails.
I'm too used to western life style it's not funny.

Going over to Melbourne is definitely one of the biggest step I have taken in my life.
At this point of time I'm just wondering if everything will work out.
Looking back many months ago, I was feeling demotivated because I did not get my visa to work in Australia.
Going to Australia is my last card because I just did not want to give up my Malaysia passport,
especially when Shannon and I still have family back there.
I guess if this move works, it might affect some of our families indirectly/directly.
I just hope everything goes well.

I have a lot on my mind,
yet I am still excited and looking forward to it.
It is approaching 2 years since we have been separated.
It sometimes can be a little straining on the relationship...
hence I really hope this works out.

Applying to be a Kiwi

My frist time EVER!!

Soo..... I just did something I have never ever done before in my ENTIRE 23 years of life..

I drove all the way with the help of my handwritten directions I got from google to Richard's grandamother's home in Muar! It sure felt great that I didn't get lost! LOL.. but that's not the point... the point is..

I drove all the way to drop 4 mooncakes over for Richard's grandma... Apparently, it would help me gain more points from his Po PO... I sure hope it did.. provided that she does remember who I am. =)

I was quite an experience actually... I even had to call her after cause I didnt go in to say hi and thought that it would be rude if I didn't call..

I was so nervous when I made that call.. I kept rehearsing what I was going to say on the phone.. should I speak in mandarin? should I tell her who I am? Should I ask her how she has been doing? A whole lot of things came into my mind...

Did it score points with you Richard? hehe....

I hope i'll get to visit PoPo again one day with you... I miss having a grandma that I can visit...

Family Snow trip

It's been a very long time since we had a family outing together...

Today we as a family went to Mt. Ruapehu to snow board. Felt really good that it was definitely a session of bonding time, especially when dad has been away for such a long time.

We stayed in an apartment that Jilian booked for us. I thought that it was quite luxurious especially since each time I visited Mt. Ruapehu we would always had to live in a backpacker's.

Love the snow, love the quality time, love the relaxing atmostphere.

Dad took some pictures which I'll upload soon once I get proper internet access. (currenty we're only allowed 100Mb per day at the place we're living in)

Random stuff at work

Yesterday when i got to work and visited my table after a few weeks of absence from it , i was shock to find my table in a mess .

I started laughing when i realized that my table was spread out of pictures of me and shannon on it!

You see I have a picture of me and shannonwhich i place at my monitor to give me the extra boost for the day while im at work.

Someone has obviously took it and photocopy it to different sizes and tape it all around my table .

Funny thing is that some1 also wrote "COUPLE OF THE MONTH" on the photocopy pictures ... hillarious !

A Post after long week

Just finished an hour ago... and the time shows 4.30am...

I've been working weird hours the pass few weeks. To be honest I think I might find it hard to go back to day shift because I have been only waking up at 4am in the afternoon. But I guess I've gotta man up a little bit.

"Mcdonalds?" The moment I heard that word I freak out. The reason such is that mcDonald has been the only fast food chain open at night. Drive through at McDonalds for weeks is making my tummy upset just at the thought of it LOL!

The good thing about it... is that I have been able to spend more time with my Boss. I found out how young he actually really is ! 31 years old and he's already the manager of this project. Impressive! Married to a fashion designer/ accountant w Masters, he runs a busy life trying to balance both family and work life. I have real respect for him because of his attitude and also his determination.

A lot of things happen each night. Night shifts to me is the best time to bond. Tonight I did a 12 hour shift (again) and was partnered with a tester, Simon. Simon used to be the tester I worked with before a few months back when I was first started at Invensys. He has a different style when you work with. Hates people asking too many questions and likes his assistant to read his mind of what he wants to do next. I learned it the hard way. I've got yelled at and threatened by him many months when I first started. Because I worked too slow and made weird noises when I was trying to figure out how to do the work (as I was new). Anyhow at the end of the first commissioning, he started to like me more and more. Thinks that I am awesome testing assistant (he told me that himself).

Anyway enough bragging of myself...Tonight I was partnered with him because he couldn't take it anymore working with his Testing assistant. I was working with Noel but he asked if he could swap me with his TA. (I  found from him that his TA asked too many questions and only acted if he asked...and not all the time will he obey) . Btw, I wasn't acting as a testing assistant tonight...but he just wanted to swap partners.

Long story short, the night went well. At the end of the night he asked me to join his mates show girls and booze. I hesitated for a while but there was an alarm bell going in my mind...I had to say it...

"I'm a christian...and I don't think I'll join u." He asked why ? You're only just looking...

"because the bible tells me that whoever stares at a woman lustfully has commited adultery in his heart"

He was taken aback.. Maybe I might have lost his likings towards me. I don't know. Maybe I could have rephrased it a little bit better ? Nah, that's diluting the truth.

I am glad I said it.. but just wondering what is his prespective towards me in the future...

....who cares.. Jesus is the one that matters eh?

1 year with you

It has been officially a year since I ticked 'yes' on your departure card.
It has been 1 year after you asked me to officially go out with you on a tree trunk somewhere in Clayton that only both of us know..
It has been 1 year of fighting the loneliness we get from being thousands of miles apart.
It has been an amazing year of getting to know each others worst sides.
It has been a year of knowing each other's family.
A year I never regretted
A year I finally knew what it means to be loved by a man wholeheartedly
A year I finally learned how to fully trust a man
A year I gave my heart to a man I know whom I know gave his completely to me too
A year we fought till we both cried (once or twice)
A year I learned to voice out and express myself vocally so that you could understand me better
A year I will look back and tell my kids how blessed and spoiled I was.

A year that made me believe that God has better years planned ahead of us... just waiting for us to uncover.

Thank you for this undoubtably amazing and unforgetable year of learning about love and relationship.

I will love you a day longer than the last rose that fades from the lovely bouquet of flowers that you gave me. =p

I Ruined

Richard was suppose to give me a surprise for our first year anniversary this Saturday...

But I ruined his plans by not letting him know where I would be on saturday and he thought I would still in JB with my parents. The actual fact is... I would be back in KL by Saturday..

I AM SO SORRY.... =(

But I am still really touched.. cause he has already bought me a diamond bracelet for our 1st and I didnt expect he would be giving another gift.. =)

Again... I'm spoiled!

I am really blessed to have Richard in my life... not only because he gives me gifts of course... He is an amazing guy. A sweet, romantic and caring boyfriend one could ever have. =)

Sometimes....

With the distance so far between us,

sometimes I feel helpless that I'm so far away from you...

sometimes I feel that there is only so much I can do for you...

sometimes when I can't get to you on the phone, there is only so much I can worry about...

sometimes when you're miserable, there is only so much I can say to comfort you...

sometimes when I miss you, there is only so much I can do to to distract myself...

sometimes when I'm thinking of you, there is only so much I can tell myself there is only just 1.5 years left...

sometimes .....

I wish that we weren't separated so far apart....

Finding the right timing

Was waiting for the right time for quite a while ...
what could beat a friday afternoon after a trial commissioning....

Me:"Noel, can I take leave during October for Shannon's graduation ?"

Noel:"No! Stan's not around so I need someone to be around"
Me:"Nooo......."

Noel : " Jokes...that's during the Rugby World cup period. That's fine..."

Me: " Wohooo! "

Sex the highest form of love ?

Was having a chat with a friend 2 days ago but its still ringing in my head.
He was shocked when I haven't slept with anybody yet...
His argument was that if you love someone you would sleep with them...
it improves the relationship...
like a hug or a kiss....
Just that sex is the highest form of way to express love!

I kept quiet for a while and then asked..
What about people who have one night stands?
Does that mean that the party they have one night stand with is in love with each other?
What about people who are married and yet have affairs?
Does that mean they hate their spouse and love the party they're having affairs with?
If that's what sex is defined as,
I guess lust has lost its definition ?

He then asked me why wait ? when you can have it now....
I said apart from my girl friend completely opposing it (hehe!),
the bible states love as according to 1 Corinthians 13:4.

How do you control it ? Isn't there a desire?
I responded yea, there is a desire..but it would be even stronger once you've tasted it.
I remembered watching a document about a little hyena the zoo saved.
It grew up eating veges, but the moment when it was older and tasted the meat,
it wanted more and more meat and never touched veges again.
I guess the same comes to sex...even though there's a desire,
we can still train it and tame it..
especially in the mind.

He listened....
hopefully understanding sex better from a christian's view.
And then replied
"Man, I'm actually kinda jealous of you...saving it for the special moment"

I grinned...

A bottle of eczema relief for my rash
A bottle of calcium for my bone (cause i dont drink milk)
and A bottle of Manuka Honey with UMF for me immune system

Nick said Richard was a good boyfriend...cared for me a lot...

I grinned and said:

"Richard is the BEST boyfriend!!!"

Thanks for coming over again

You have other possible options to take for spending your holiday.
Yet you came to visit me once again.
Thank you for coming. I really had a great time.

Now its back to work for me.
I call it perfect divine timing of how God arranged this trip for us.

Before you came I was meant to work for the weekends, both of them while you were here.
But somehow the it got cancelled due to people not responding emails and planning the weekend.

Then came another weekend where I was supposed to go over to Melbourne for a social meeting/reward because our team worked real hard during Easter.
But somehow my boss told me not to go because you were here.

Then came yesterday that I took off so I could spend the last full day with you.
It happened that the guys planned a last minute semi night shift which could have disabled me from sending you to the airport.
If I had gone to work yesterday I would not been able to send you off to the airport.

I reckon we are blessed this trip for such awesome timing.
Even though the period was only slightly more than a week, I've gotten to know you much more as I'm sure have you, through quality times, fun times and occasional argument times =)

Already missing you.

See you in 3.5 months time.

That's my girl friend! ^^

Pre-1st Anniversary

Today was not the day of our 1st year anniversary...
But we decided to celebrate it today cause we won't be in the same location on the 30th of July.

Richard brought me to this really nice fine dinning place and a view of the Auckland Habour..
After circling the city for parking and paying for a really expensive one!! Richard gave me a surprise when he walked to the back of the car and brought out a gift.. I thought he was going to give me another bouquet of flowers.. BUT I WAS SO WRONG!
He gave me an even better gift!
A diamond bracelet bought with his HARD-EARNED money...

Here are some pictures of the bracelet taken with my very LOUSY photography skills...

Anyway, back to dinner..
Richard said the night was on him and that I didn't have to worry about the price..
and that I could order my long craved fresh oysters!! (which I did! and they were heavenly!!)
The main course were yummy!
The dessert was delightful!!
It was an unforgettable night...
my only regret is that i did not bring along my camera to capture those memories.. =(

Thanks Richard!!!
I'm blessed and spoiled!

p.s. I know this wont happen every year..
=)

Answered Prayer

Today's the day!

Such a relieve to find out that the ashes had died down a little across NZ/Australian air.

The day before we were praying hard that it would cleared up so that flights for Pacific Blue could resume.
The next day our prayers got answered. It was the first day in weeks that they started flying again. Wohoo. Thank you Lord.

Looking forward to your arrival :)

Annoying Ashes....

How annoying can it be that a volcano had to erupt so badly that it can potentially affect Shannon's trip to Auckland! Something that I have been looking forward to all week....

ROAR..!!!!

Went around looking for forecast of the ashes but it seems that there is still no way to see if its flying is possible for pacific blue this Sunday..

I guess all we can do now is just pray.. and probably look around for Air NZ flights instead.

7 more days

I'm excited!
7 more days before Shannon flies in.

My Surprise!

Woke up this morning to find a letter near the telephone in the house im currently living it...

it was a letter from Auckland!!!

I turned the letter around and saw it was sent from a very familiar address and I smiled and grinned!

The letter totally made my day!!!
and the content of the letter shall remain between just the 2 of us! =P

Another reason why I love Richard.... he has his romantic side of him! =)

This the love letter i received!!!  (with my address removed!)

Arduino Uno arrived!

My Ardruino Uno came today!!
This is probably how Shannon feels when her online shopping goods arrive.
I feel excited and happy.

Going to start making stuff IF i get the time to.
The arduino is a cheap development board used for developing what I considered as "toys"
It can be used to make all sorts of cool gadgets.
But to me most of all it's something that I enjoy doing...
(i guess I'm really a geek ^^ )

Happy day~ oh happy day~

Risk

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
To expose feeling is to risk rejection
To place your dreams before the crowd is torisk ridicule.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To go forward in the face of overwhelming odds is to risk failure.

But risk must be taken because the hazard in life is to risk nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave.
Only a person who takes risks is free.

My parents

My dad's leaving tomorrow (again) back to Malaysia to work and sort out some stuff.
Gonna miss him a little cause I'm already kinda use to it...(It's been nearly 20 years!)

Was talking to them (my parents) about the future.
I want to go to Australia...(where Shannon is).
I want to support my parents and hope they move to Australia too one day.
I also hope Shannon's parents also would consider Australia/New Zealand as a retirement country.

My parents have done so much for us.
Growing up from a poor family, dad has worked very hard to being where he is today... a successful engineer, and a responsible father separated from his wife for so many years so that we get the best education and life that he can afford.

Mum on the other hand has pretty much done a good job raising us children up, mostly by herself cause dad's away working overseas. No one who hasn't done it, would know the effort it takes to take of the kids all by herself...
Household chores, errands, money management and all....I thank her for all that she has done.

My only way to thank them, besides saying thank you is to at least take care of them when they're older.

Thanks mum and dad.

Operation R & S

Ok I had a thought of the plan for operation "R&S"

S will fly to Auckland in a month's time on 18th June 2011.
Period = 10 days.
Duration apart = one month.

R will fly to Melbourne mid October for Shannon's convocation
Period = 2 weeks.
Duration apart = 4 months

R will fly to Malaysia beginning of the year of 2012 hopefully during Chinese New Year
Period = 2 weeks.
Duration apart = 3-4 months

S may fly to Auckland to visit during her semester break.
Period = 1 week.
Duration apart = 3 months.

R will be migrating to Australia middle of 2012.
Period = ???
Duration apart = 3 months.

Just a rough idea but hopefully it will work. Personally I don't like the sound of 3-4 months apart. But what can you do with so little annual leave and holidays.

Stressful time for Shannon

Shannon's having a hard time at the moment with her assignment.
I was told that she has only been eating rubbish food ---> pizza's and fast food because of the shortage of time she has...
I personally wish I could at least cook some proper food for her.
Let's pray that her assignment quickly finish real soon & she does well in it !

Shannon's trip so far

It's been 5 days since Shannon landed in Auckland and I must say that it has been my happy period so far.

Apart from feeding her heaps ( my mum has been doing a good job), I have taken days off.
It just happened that my commission is over and I was able to take my lieu time because I worked during easter.

Had a couple of minor quarrel but I guess they are healthy ones.
Perhaps I have too much of an expectation of how I want her to behave sometime...my bad.
But overall she's been a good girl so far.

Been taking her our shopping too.
She shops at such a fast pace sometimes I wonder if she really did look carefully at the things before buying it.
She is doing a good job by the way at changing my style..Apparently I have bad taste ><

Taking her to Matakana tomorrow morning to do eat some muscles....yuck
Anyway time for bed... I'm pretty sure there's more to update soon.

Night shifts.

Right now as I'm sitting in front of my computer, I feel a little bit wasted because I was working on night shift last night and didn't sleep more than 5 hours today.

Feeling a little bit tired.

Also feeling a little bit stink because I can't pick my girl friend up from the airport.
She's coming over for a holiday this semester holiday.
Can't wait to see her...
I know I'll be quite eager to get home from work today lol!

Thank you for the shirt!

Came back from work tired today when I saw a parcel for me.
Instantly I got excited...because I knew that it was probably from Shannon.....
and it was !
Thank you very much for the army check shirt.
I was looking at what I was wearing that day and my shirt, shoes, T shirt were all from you..hehehe..

Once again, thank you. I love it.

Working too hard ?

I realised that I have been working really hard the pass few weeks.
To the extend of cutting down for playing for Sunday services.
And also having less time to spend with my family and girl friend.

Just a few days ago I was working night shifts.
Average of 10 hours each day.
Tomorrow I'll be working starting from 7.30am till very late.
Good thing that my boss told me that he expects us to have a 2 days break every continuous working shifts of 2 weeks.

I hope that I am not neglecting my love ones.
If I am I apologise...
but at the same time I'm keen to save up financially
Also, at the same time don't really have a choice but to work these hours because I'm required.
I'll try my best to spend time with family and especially Shannon, when I finish work.
I hope you understand, Ai.

long hours at work.

Last week I worked 7 days a week, including weekend 10 hours each.
I might need to work weekends next week too.
I remember I told God that I'll try my best not to work on Sunday...
but seems like I failed this week =(

Gotta get my focus right ...

My Song for You

I'm saving all my love for you!

Wanwisa Suakanong

That's my child's name!
Made a decision to sponsor this child through Tear fund.
I found a child from Thailand who I will be sponsoring starting next month.
It would require writing to her occasionally.
She's 11 years old this year and was born on  17 May 2000.
Apparently both her parents are not employed.
And by sponsoring her she'll get access to Bible teaching, medical stuff, social events, better food, education and tutoring.

Will post a picture of her once I get the chance.

Finance for the future

Just got my pay slip today...
Realised that my pay is really average or slightly below.
Then I started thinking about my future...

The amount of $$ that I need for my future family...
Gotta start working even harder...
Hopefully I'll be able to save up and support them well.

Change of Heart?

Nope... Do not have a change of heart.. It's just a random MSN status thing that made people ask me' Is everything ok?" LOL

Everything is OK!!
'Change of heart" by Jodi Picoult is the just title of the book that I just finished reading today. LOL

And no.. I do not have a change of heart.. not when it comes to Richard Tan Wei Chea =)

I was reminded.....

This is what I saw this morning while lining up at the Shell petrol station counter to pay for my petrol.

Weird but I started chuckling because it reminded me of someone.
Someone who had issues with milk and nuts....
Wish she was there at the moment so I could tease her with these chocolates...
I can imagine her disgusted look if I shove these right in front of her face.
LOL!

By the way, these box of chocolate taste so good!

=)

Times that I really miss....

Long Pause Kinda Talk

So we had this very serious talk about 2 or 3 days ago... About how we are going to bring the gap between us closer.

1) If I continue to stay in Melb.. we'll be apart for another minimum 2 years and we both aren't sure if we can make it being apart for another 2 years.

2) If I go over to Auckland for my studies.. say only for my honours year and decide to come back to melb for masters, I am not sure if I'll be accepted into the universities... and applying for PR later on would be so much more complicated.

3) If Richard comes over here next year, he is gonna have to give up his Malaysia passport and risk not having a job for a really long long time.

4) If i go to Auck and stay in Auck, I will most likely not be able to do the course that I'm hoping for... and Richard doesn't see himself in Auck for too long a time.

I can't remember what we were talking about but i think Richard did have a thought of ending this relationship IF IF IF i decide to stay in Melbourne and he on the other hand can't come over soon enough.... *now you get what i mean by long pause kinda talk*

If you were both of us, what would you do? besides praying.....

The best outcome would probably be that Richard's company SUDDENLY decides to transfer him to the melb headquarters to work and I get to stay and pursue the career that I've been planning for...

However, things are really getting a little complicated..... And i guess, it's times like this and God gets to shine and say hey, trust me and see what I'll surprise you with!

Lord, what is Your will?

Excited

Shannon is coming over in 38 days!

Feels so long away... but I'm looking forward to her coming over again.

Though I might have to work long hours during that period because of commissioning period and not see her as much as I want each day.

Anyway, its definitely going to a good catch up again ! :)

Back from Brisbane

For those wondering what Ai was ranting on at the bottom of this post (lol) , I was sent to Brisbane for training last week. I just arrived back home an hour ago and am glad to be back. hehe. I was complaining to myself too since it was such a disappointment that my training wasn't in Melbourne this time =(

Training was pretty good. I was given $77 allowance each day, a 4 star hotel, transport expenses paid for and work resources during that period. (happy about that) Met some other graduates from Sydney and Brisbane over there. Some of them slighltly older and younger than me. Found out that they all get paid more than me and receive the proper rotation and training programs. A little jealous but hey I've learned to count my blessings!

The only 'disappointment' for me is that none of training will be held at Melbourne when Ai's around! =( When I took up this job, I had the impression that somehow I'll be able to meet up with Ai when I go over for training in Melbourne, especially since Melbourne is the head office. Gutted!

Had a long chat with Ai last night since I had free 3 mobile minutes. Quite scary that we don't have a secure plan on how things are going to work out between us because of the distance. I might go over after this project ends ? or should Ai come over after her studies? But what if I can't find a job in Melbourne ? Or what if I get a job in Melbourne but she doesn't. What if we both can't find jobs in Melbourne? lol ! confused >.<

Anyway heard the news about the earth quack in Japan. Just terrible news =(  Hope everybody's alright over there.

Brisbane?

Why brisbane?? =(

and your next time to melb would be early July and I'll be away for Hillsong conference!! =(

sigh... maybe it's God's way of playing a prank on us.. LOL

Next time we meet? October!! and that is exactly 222days away.. oh boy....

WHY BRISBANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

happy day

Today's probably a very happy day for me.
I was told by my boss that I will be sent to Brisbane for training next week! Finally.

(sad thing is that I won't be able to see Shannon then, and also the other trips because she won't be around when I go over)

Got back from work and saw this package with my name written on it....

I opened it and found two very nice T shirts ..

Thank you so much dear. Really made my day :)

Double happiness!

Back in Melbourne

After a very nice and chil-laxing break... I'm back in same old Melbourne! Not liking it so far... cause I'm so far away from my family and my love one in Auck.

I held on really well ever since i left Richard at the Auckland airport... but it didn't last. Read the post Richard wrote before this? yes that! it made me cry.. sigh.

I miss the times i had in Auckland.. time spent with Richard when he was home from work. Time spent with his family and friends. We ended my trip to Auckland by watching fireworks at the Auckland Lantern Festival.. the fireworks were beautiful! There wouldn't be a better way to end my whole 52 days trip in Auckland..

I guess it'll take some time before i get back into my study mode.. but hopefully as time pass, we'll both feel better. He's gonna work hard and I'm gonna give it my best shot for my final semester. GAMBATE!!!

I love you Richard Tan Wei Chea =)
