Happy 2nd Anniversary

Today is the mark of 2 years since we started officially dating...
Thinking back now, time do really flies..
A lot of thing has changed too..
and I am just fortunate to be in a relationship with someone I enjoy being and trust...

So this post is dedicated to Shannon and the pass year.

Now that you know more of my flaws and still carry on wanting to be with me,
I am just blessed.

Looking forward to our coming year together .
I appreciate you  dear.

Physio

Today I had an appointment with my surgeon and he said all is going well, and that I can start with my physio soon.

I was dismayed to find out from the physios I rang that there will be charges for all the appointments . ACC will be covering a little bit but somehow I had the impression that it is fully funded !

You see, the reason I stayed back behind in NZ was that I had the assumption that ACC will pay for my rehabilitation program...well at least that was what I thought my surgeon said.

Another 8 weeks of waiting. ROAR!~!

I guess all I can do now is make full use of the time I have here.

Just gotta stop being impatient and take my time.

So near yet so far

Ever been in a race where you sorta know that you're near the finish line but you feel you just don't have enough energy to carry on?

That's how I feeling right now!

I've worked hard and waited for 2 years...

I've got a casual verbal offer for a job offer in Melbourne....

My surgery is over but all I'm waiting now is for my physio and wound to heal....

I've got the girls on my dreams but I can't be with her yet...

I have got my NZ passport but all we need is Shannon's visa to confirm we can be together...

I've delayed my move over and over again...

I'm starting to feel strained....and hope I can reach the end

Another 8.5 weeks just feels too LONG.....

Thank you!!

I recently received a parcel with my name on it.

It was from US and was wrapped in yellow.

Puzzled and curious, I opened it up to find a wonderful suprise that made my day!

It was a 2nd anniversary present ( since I "officially" dated Ai )

Thank you Ai for the lovely photo album of the pictures we've taken for the pass year or two.

It brought back so much memories..

The trip we went together,
the festivals,
the people we hanged out with ,
the special occasion,
the road trips,
most importantly our limited and precious time together while dating apart.

You never fail to surprise me (YET!)
and that's one of the things I love about my fiance.

PS: Calling  her "fiance", I'm just soooo not used to it yet!

The Surprise Visit & The Proposal

My sneeky little surprise trip was a success!!! Thanks to Richard's family and Ren who played along to keep Richard in the dark. I can still remember clearly that the first thing he said was: What are you doing here? Am I dreaming?  LOL.. It was hilarious! I was glad that I spent that money to give a little support after his surgery.

What was unexpected was, he actually had something up his sleeves too.. and you guessed it right. He actually planned a proposal behind my back! Again with the help of his family, this time round, he managed to keep me in the dark. He first called my parents to ask for their permission which I was really touched about. He had actually got the ring quite some time ago but was just waiting for the right time to propose.

Apparently he has been so nervous 2 days before the proposal that he had no appetite to eat and i thought he was just plain down with a flu or something- maybe even diarrhoea as he kept heading to the toilet! LOL.

Nevertheless, on the night of the dinner, he was really generous. He brought me shopping and bought a new dress for the night because I went to Auckland with casual clothes only.

So the time came and we were at the restaurant, he didnt look happy.. and was really quiet. It was only later that I understood why. After finishing our delicious and very expensive meal, Richard said he really wasnt feeling very comfortable and had to go to the toilet. Well, that was an excuse. He actually went to the car to to get the bouquet of flowers that had the ring hidden in it.

It was a very pleasant surprise! I was really excited and happy... but could not concentrate on what he was saying because I was more concerned about his knee and he got down on one knee. And that was one of the reasons i said YES. Despite just having a surgery, he was still willing to get down on one knee to propose.

What was also very memorable was that he used the same rose he has used 2 and half years ago. The story goes like this- two and half years ago, I went to Auckland for a holiday and met this really great guy. Apparently, he fell for me within 12 days and didnt want to be leave after my holiday ended. He jokingly got down on one knee and asked me to stay. Who would know 2 and half years later, that guy would use the same rose to propose to this girl he met for 12 days.

Thanks my fiance for everything! You've been the best thing that has happened in my life. =)
