Shannon's first post in 2015

My life has been chaotic. Social life has been limited to the minimum. The cost Psych students have to pay to complete the course in time. Me no like it. Me no understand why I got myself into this. Nonetheless, I made it through 2 long years and have one final year to go. Its going to be a crazy year.  Thesis to complete, a 10,000 word professional portfolio to submit, a 100 day placement to attend and a husband to love.

I must say this though. I couldn't have made it this far without His strength and favour upon myself. I consider the opportunity to complete a DPsych (Clinical) as a privilege and (though I hate the process of completing it) am grateful for the opportunity. I've learned so much and grown so much professionally. I've met great colleagues and supervisors along the way and hope these relationships will remain for a very long time.

Life as a wife has been crazy too. First year of marriage almost drove me crazy! HA! Honestly thought I was losing my mind on several occasions. Having said that, I cannot imagine a life without Richard. Though he NAGS, he has always been there to comfort me and support me through my lowest moments. He is always assuring and encouraging. He loves me like no other. I am spoilt I admit and I also admit that I enjoy being spoilt by him.

The start of our second year of marriage so far has been a huge step forward compared to the last. I think we've learned so much about each other during our first year and having our own place has helped tremendously.

Having a mortgage to pay while surviving on one income hasn't been easy but I must say it's been worth it. We may be poor (like literally) but our quality of life has improved heaps and bounds.

OK, my post is starting to read incoherent... time for bed.

p.s. I love you Ma! I know you check our blog every once in a while.
