This week's update

It's been a long while again since I updated something..and there's bit that has happened last week.

Lets work backwards....

Today I finally applied for my citizenship. I am officially in the process of getting a 'license' to say that I am a kiwi, something that so many people in Malaysia have told me to beware off. I remembered 8 years ago before leaving Malaysia, my chinese pastor told me NEVER to give up my malaysia passport and be loyal to Malaysia. I guess I have rebel and disobeyed that instruction =p But my parents seem to be alright with it. So I guess I'm happy with that. Hopefully I'll get my passport soon. Because once I get it I'll start a new operation, called Job hunting operation in Melbourne.

Definitely looking forward to see Shannon next week, especially since it has been so many months since I felt her last hug at the airport. Really looking forward to it. I guess long distant relationship isn't something we humans were built for, and because of it I think there has been a couple of moments where we argued because of the lack of time spent with each other (online, that is). Firstly because I have just applied for an exam to sit 11th of Nov , my job and Shannon's new job, and her friends and family. I guess I shouldn't demand too much of her especially since it's been so long that she has been away from her family. Hence I admit that it was partially my fault for yesterday's tensioned conversation. But overall, I still really miss her dearly and hope that this long torture would someday end.

I have been spending time keeping myself busy and studying for my exam which I applied for. Cost me $300+ to apply for this certification exam, CCNA. But I'm proud of myself in a sense that I started off with no idea about IT networking, but at this stage I feel that I'm starting to have a good grasp of it and believe that it will serve me well one day. Thanks to my french workmate and friend, William who has encouraged me to give it a shot.

Mum's calling for dinner... Just when I started to get my momentum going. There's heaps for me to share here next time but I'll leave it for next time...

28 days till we meet!

It feels like ages since I last saw Richard. It feels a bit like YEARS! lol...

The next time we meet be at my graduation! Kinda excited about it cause it will be the first time BOTH my parents would be around to see my graduate. hehe....

Now all i'm hoping is that Richard's eave would be approved by his not so friendly boss who seems to favour his friend. I pray that he'll learn to appreciate Richard and learn to see that Richard too does work hard and contribute at work.

Till we meet......

I'm the luckiest guy on earth!

Was writing a letter to my Mued, my sponsored child today when I started thinking if I should start writing something to Shannon through snail mail.
"knock , knock, knock"
I turned around and saw my sister holding a parcel saying "special delivery for lover boy"

I took the parcel and secretly grinned within upon recognizing that familiar not-so-nice handwriting.
I open the parcel and was really touch to see what was inside...

It was a box of cards....

each card written by a really special friend to encourage me and express her feelings for me.

I have to say ....

I love it very much!

I will treasure this very much and for a long long time.
Thank you once again :)
My very first box of cards!

I feel like the luckiest guy on earth

ps: now I understand why you haven't been writing post up on our blog. it's all here. *touched*

NZ citizenship

Just a few minutes ago, I was filling up my form my application for New Zealand citizenship...
It is quite a big step and I'm quite excited about it.
At the same time I am also nervous...
nervous that if this will work out...
What if it doesn't ?

Going over to Australia is probably the very last card I have left to be with Shannon.
I really do not want to go to Malaysia if all else fails.
I'm too used to western life style it's not funny.

Going over to Melbourne is definitely one of the biggest step I have taken in my life.
At this point of time I'm just wondering if everything will work out.
Looking back many months ago, I was feeling demotivated because I did not get my visa to work in Australia.
Going to Australia is my last card because I just did not want to give up my Malaysia passport,
especially when Shannon and I still have family back there.
I guess if this move works, it might affect some of our families indirectly/directly.
I just hope everything goes well.

I have a lot on my mind,
yet I am still excited and looking forward to it.
It is approaching 2 years since we have been separated.
It sometimes can be a little straining on the relationship...
hence I really hope this works out.

My frist time EVER!!

Soo..... I just did something I have never ever done before in my ENTIRE 23 years of life..

I drove all the way with the help of my handwritten directions I got from google to Richard's grandamother's home in Muar! It sure felt great that I didn't get lost! LOL.. but that's not the point... the point is..

I drove all the way to drop 4 mooncakes over for Richard's grandma... Apparently, it would help me gain more points from his Po PO... I sure hope it did.. provided that she does remember who I am. =)

I was quite an experience actually... I even had to call her after cause I didnt go in to say hi and thought that it would be rude if I didn't call..

I was so nervous when I made that call.. I kept rehearsing what I was going to say on the phone.. should I speak in mandarin? should I tell her who I am? Should I ask her how she has been doing? A whole lot of things came into my mind...

Did it score points with you Richard? hehe....

I hope i'll get to visit PoPo again one day with you... I miss having a grandma that I can visit...

Family Snow trip

It's been a very long time since we had a family outing together...

Today we as a family went to Mt. Ruapehu to snow board. Felt really good that it was definitely a session of bonding time, especially when dad has been away for such a long time.

We stayed in an apartment that Jilian booked for us. I thought that it was quite luxurious especially since each time I visited Mt. Ruapehu we would always had to live in a backpacker's.

Love the snow, love the quality time, love the relaxing atmostphere.

Dad took some pictures which I'll upload soon once I get proper internet access. (currenty we're only allowed 100Mb per day at the place we're living in)
