Yes! She's right here in Auckland. Her flight was delayed a little bit for some reason though

A Chat
We had a chat...
Thank you for taking on my rantings.
Thank you for your patience and love.
I'll work hard to put this thought at rest.
I may not be good at everything, some that you wish for, but I will try my best to see how I can improve with the opportunities I get.
If I can't be better, that's just too bad. I'm pretty sure I have got something else to offer.
hugs.

That 'Perfect' One ?
I wonder what's the right move? Accept the fact that you're bad at somethings but good at others? Or constantly work towards making all your bad skills/characteristics into better ones? But the questions then comes if you decide to change yourself, what if you cannot turn all your bad skills/characteristics into good ones because admit it, there are things that you can't change because you are just plainly bad at it. Do you just accept the fact that you're bad at it and give up?
I couldn't sleep last night. Turning and tossing on my bed, and turning up to church to play keys at the front stage with heavy eyes and pretending to be fully energized. I love to serve so don't get me wrong, but last night a thought that I have been pushing away all these while was bugging me hardout.
I was probably comparing myself again. Looking back last year, I used to be always 'secure' of myself, perhaps I didn't really care what people say cause I couldn't be bothered comparing myself to others as I wasn't in a relationship. Yet, after knowing that I was good at certain things and bad at certain things compared to Ai's previous relationships, I wonder what I should do to end this battling thought. Should I fight on to proof that I am the best among everybody, and change myself and work myself accordingly? or should I just accept the fact that I was not good at those not so good traits and admit my failure.
I know it's not good to compare, as you will never find happiness. What's most important is how God see us individually. After all, we were never perfect in the first place, not always the best in everything. We got our own strengths and weaknesses. Yet, perhaps its my nature that I don't want to admit that I'm bad at something that others were good at in Ai's previous. I want to be that "perfect" person for Ai at least in relative terms. But what if I can never improve something that I am just terrible at. What if I never get the chance to improve on something that I'm bad at. Just accept it and move on? It's just not my nature to admit failure especially to the one I love.
These thoughts have been bugging me. These thoughts might be directed to small little things of my life, but over time as I discover more of my bad traits that has been the previous' strength, it might accumulate more and more. It might be too much for my male ego to handle.
Deep down inside, I want to be that 'perfect' person for her, at least better in everything than her previous has been so that I may please her and at the same time feel good about myself.
But what if I can't ?

Dipose
Today while cleaning up my room and books, I came across a few diaries I used to write in. I read through most of them, and realizing how much I have changed compared to how I was a few years ago. The diary had things such as previous conflicts, thoughts, emotions and crushes. Just reading it all over again reminded me about the person that I once was.Quite funny just reading everything I wrote in those diaries.Reminds you how immature you can be when you were younger.
I also came across some photographs I took many years ago. I decided to dispose some of the "major" ones as I have requested Shannon to dispose some of her "major" ones too. I believe its fair that I do the same
Shannon is still the best! hehehe :)

bored
So today's Christmas Eve. Mum has a lot of parties going on and I'm just tagging along with her LOL.
For me, the pass few days has been pretty much quite a bum week for me.
All I've done is eat and play games (and sleep) =p
At times I just feel a little restless, butt itchy.
Can't wait to go on road trips when Shannon is here.
Wohooooo....

Mamak (means night hawker food in Malay) in Dominion Road after attending Joshua's and Sara's Wedding at Tauranga.
Yea , that's right we weren't invited to the reception, so we thought we had some fun for ourselves. lol.

I wish
Shannon just saw the doctor today which cost her RM400. so expensive!
Wish I was there to take care of her now, especially since she's home alone and all by herself.
It doesn't feel nice not being able to take care of her. She doesn't have food to eat and needs to cook herself. No car to drive to buy ingredients or buy something decent to eat. If only I was there to help her. sigh..

Invensys Rail Interview Day
Ok. My interview for invensys rail was postponed to Thursday 2pm, which is today.
Just wanna thank all my friends and family who have prayed for me and been along this job hunting journey with me. I really appreciate your time and concern.
Today's interview was not bad, though I would have hoped they gave me more questions as I was ready to answer them more. At some point I thought I wanted to cut in and just chuck those polished answers that I have prepared, but then that would be too pathetic as if I was trying to answer things that they didn't ask. Anyhow I tried my best and answer as detail and I could. The outcome was that interviewer thought I did brilliant, just like all the other interviewees in the pass weeks.
The only bonus I can think of, is that I happen to know a person who works in that company. His name is Stanley. Suprisingly enough, he too have hunted over 120 jobs in the pass and took 15 months before he started his position here. He was my senior at university.
The interview was done in a cafe, all because the office had 1 meeting room which is no vacant. The lady from Brisbane (HR) who was suppose to be part of the panel was absent as she was not free to interview me with the Manager. Anyhow, this could be a blessing in disguise. Who knows?
I might stand a chance for this job, but I'm not sure how high the chances are. Just like other jobs, we have asked God to close this job shut if its not his will and open it wide if this is where he wants to take me. So even if I might have doubts, I am going to trust Him for something good out of this job hunt. He knows what I'm good at and what i'm bad at, so I'm going to trust Him to find the most appropriate job for me.
Will keep this blog updated once I get my results in 2 days time.

Job interview for Invensys Rail.
It's been a while since a lot has happened the pass 23 days , but its definitely good to be back home to Auckland again.
For the pass weeks I have gone to Baguio for a mission trip, visited Shannon, and got the opportunity to go for a holiday with her parents to Langkawi. It seemed that a lot has happened in just the pass 23 days itself.
Now that I'm back in Auckland, I've got an interview awaiting me. I'm nervous because of the many times that I have already failed the interviews I was offered. Yet I'm hopeful that God has something good in stored for me, could this be it ? A job offer for a world class company for railways signaling? That I get to travel to many places in this position ? I hope it is...because I want this job.
Would definitely require your prayers.

Time Spent with Richard
It has been about 4 days since Richard arrived at the Senai Airport...
All we've done is watch movies, meet friends, eat and eat and eat and erm...EAT!!! LOL
Am enjoying the time spent with him... (and also my family)
Hopefully the time we spend together now will make up for what we didn't have and will not have when i complete and final semester in Monash and come back to Malaysia for 6-8 months...
It's going to be a long long journey apart... I don't know how we are going to pull through but i'm hopeful. We are going to make it!!!

Baguio day 5
Today was probably a relatively relaxing day for me but definitely a day to remember.
We baptized 55 people today in Agoo! Such a rewarding day especially for Pastor Dwayne and his wife. I believe this is exactly what it means when they say "you reap what you sow"
Assisted with the cameras. Took some nice shots which I'll upload soon once I get the opportunity.
Before baptizing them, the team went around praying for each member individually. It was a good atmosphere seeing the whole village just working in unity as a body of christ for this celebration day. We got some people who were taking care of the kids, some older ladies chopping veges and chicken, and some of the younger ones cooking in the conventional style. Cooking was done with wood and charcoal as they did not have a proper stove. The food that came out still tasted yummy!
Auntie Annie was having some headache as she did not drink enough water. I found out the reason for that was she was afraid of going to the toilet there. I personally went to the toilet and it was just 'breath taking'. Reminded me of toilets I used to have when I was in primary school. Totally disgusting!
Got into the sea half waist and had fun with the kids. I was known as Uncle Richie by the kids. They just loved the cameras. Each time I took the camera out they would all crowd infront of me. One thing I learned not to do is to count 1-2-3 as they kept moving towards the camera until I could never get a decent shot! I witness how they showered. There was only 2 wells in that area and little kids (and adults) would surround that well and shower together. You could never clean urself properly as the you had to wear something on while showering in public. I witness a lot of mothers there with young toddlers. They were all breast feeding their kids and each time I accidentally saw them revealing their source of milk, I just had to turn away in awkwardness. A lot of the kids had bloated bellies. I understand that the reason of such is because they have worms in their tummies, originally coming from the sand that they walk on. Hence we were instructed to wear closed footwear.
Today was just an amazing day for me as I was able to witness so many people getting baptised ! You definitely witness the hunger and obedicnce of the people here for and to God.
ps: I ate Balut today and I eventually gave up half way cause I started to feel sick thinking about the embryo I was eating....
