Just finished an hour ago... and the time shows 4.30am...
I've been working weird hours the pass few weeks. To be honest I think I might find it hard to go back to day shift because I have been only waking up at 4am in the afternoon. But I guess I've gotta man up a little bit.
"Mcdonalds?" The moment I heard that word I freak out. The reason such is that mcDonald has been the only fast food chain open at night. Drive through at McDonalds for weeks is making my tummy upset just at the thought of it LOL!
The good thing about it... is that I have been able to spend more time with my Boss. I found out how young he actually really is ! 31 years old and he's already the manager of this project. Impressive! Married to a fashion designer/ accountant w Masters, he runs a busy life trying to balance both family and work life. I have real respect for him because of his attitude and also his determination.
A lot of things happen each night. Night shifts to me is the best time to bond. Tonight I did a 12 hour shift (again) and was partnered with a tester, Simon. Simon used to be the tester I worked with before a few months back when I was first started at Invensys. He has a different style when you work with. Hates people asking too many questions and likes his assistant to read his mind of what he wants to do next. I learned it the hard way. I've got yelled at and threatened by him many months when I first started. Because I worked too slow and made weird noises when I was trying to figure out how to do the work (as I was new). Anyhow at the end of the first commissioning, he started to like me more and more. Thinks that I am awesome testing assistant (he told me that himself).
Anyway enough bragging of myself...Tonight I was partnered with him because he couldn't take it anymore working with his Testing assistant. I was working with Noel but he asked if he could swap me with his TA. (I found from him that his TA asked too many questions and only acted if he asked...and not all the time will he obey) . Btw, I wasn't acting as a testing assistant tonight...but he just wanted to swap partners.
Long story short, the night went well. At the end of the night he asked me to join his mates show girls and booze. I hesitated for a while but there was an alarm bell going in my mind...I had to say it...
"I'm a christian...and I don't think I'll join u." He asked why ? You're only just looking...
"because the bible tells me that whoever stares at a woman lustfully has commited adultery in his heart"
He was taken aback.. Maybe I might have lost his likings towards me. I don't know. Maybe I could have rephrased it a little bit better ? Nah, that's diluting the truth.
I am glad I said it.. but just wondering what is his prespective towards me in the future...
....who cares.. Jesus is the one that matters eh?
